Operating Principle of the Seghers mini Clean |
The SEGHERSmini Clean is a patented thermal cleaning system for the effective cleaning of small metal parts coated with plastic or paint (e.g. spinnerets, nozzles, filters, ect). The cleaning chamber is electrically heated to its operating temperature of approximately 800F. The metal parts to be cleaned are placed into a basket. This basket is introduced into the preheated cleaning chamber of the SEGHERSmini clean. Both the operating temperature of the cleaning chamber and the air supply to it are strictly controlled to ensure complete gasification of the plastic whilst avoiding overheating the metal parts.
In the cleaning chamber, the plastic is completely gasified and thus the metal parts are cleaned. |

The gas generated in the cleaning chamber pass into a gas fired, high temperature afterburner which converts them into harmless vapor and CO2. As soon as the cleaning cycle is finished, the basket can be the cleaned metal parts remove.
The next cycle can commence immediately.
